Description
In 2017, Hyatt / Welk Platinum partnered to launch the Hyatt Residence Club, which added some of Welk’s vacation ownership resorts to Hyatt’s portfolio. As a result, Welk Platinum Points program owners can convert their ownership to the Hyatt Residence Club program, which offers additional benefits like access to World of Hyatt, Hyatt’s hotel loyalty program.
Hyatt Vacation Club resorts are divided into two collections: Hyatt / Welk Platinum, formerly known as Welk Resorts, and The Heritage Collection, formerly known as Hyatt Residence Club. Owners of the Platinum Collection can access the Heritage Collection, and vice versa, through Interval International. This allows owners to take advantage of reduced exchange fees and priority access.
